Key Equipment & Supply Company has been dedicated to our employees and customers for over 60 years. We are committed to expanding our business and have recently opened a new facility in Springfield, Illinois, to provide more sales, parts, service, and rentals in this area. We have also created Quality Rents to support our customers with short- and long-term rentals. Our services cover Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and most of Illinois, and we have seven Territory Managers and multiple Parts & Service Sales Representatives ready to assist you with all your equipment needs. With three facilities featuring fully stocked parts departments and factory-trained and certified technicians, we invest in our people and provide continuous training to ensure we provide quality service to our customers.

Our History

Key Equipment & Supply Company has been around since 1962 when Bob and Nana Hyink founded it. Originally, the company started as a distributor for Elgin Sweepers and Leach refuse packers. Over time, Key Equipment & Supply Company has established strong relationships with municipalities and contractors. Our focus is on providing high-quality equipment, support, rental, and building strong industry relationships. 

In 1994, our coverage expanded to include most of Illinois, as well as Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma. We have three facilities located in St. Louis, MO, Kansas City, KS, and Springfield, IL. We offer a wide range of environmental products, including refuse and recycling collection vehicles, leaf collection equipment, street sweepers, remote control slope mowers, sewer inspection, and sewer cleaning equipment. We are committed to bringing the latest and most innovative products to the market and consistently train our personnel on the operations, service, and safety of these products. 

Recently, we expanded our business by adding Quality Rents, our rental company. We are constantly growing our team and adding new high-quality products to meet the needs of our customers. Over the past five years, we have focused on re-committing ourselves to our craft, driving ourselves to new heights of service and support within our industry. We constantly strive to redefine ourselves and stand behind our core values daily.

We continue to stock and maintain a rolling inventory of quality used equipment at all three locations, ensuring that our customers have access to the equipment they need when they need it. With blanket units on order regularly, we can accommodate quicker deliveries and shorten lead times for our customers. 

Our used equipment fleet is extensive and growing weekly, thanks to our purchases, trade-ins, and relationships throughout the country giving us the flexibility to provide options for all our customers’ needs. Our Territory Managers are constantly working in their areas to understand our customer needs and react to propose the best equipment providing real solutions. 

To further assist our customers, our Territory Managers regularly demo our equipment, showcasing the latest and greatest technologies in our space. Our mission is to accommodate our customers with a variety of options, ensuring that the equipment they select is suitable and reliable for their needs. Our parts department constantly monitors and adjusts our inventory to stay current and meet your parts needs. We have a very knowledgeable parts staff in-house who are always ready and willing to answer any questions you have. If we do not have the answer, we will find it for you.
